The South Lake Tahoe housing market has been steady. The inventory of homes has been rapidly increasing; and that is good news for buyers! The market will continue to pick up in the next few months and home values should continue to slowly increase as long as interest rates remain low. 

The Numbers Month to Month and Year to Year
– The median sales price for South Lake Tahoe, CA Homes for Sale was $472,500 in June 2017, compared to $399,000 during June 2016.
– The number of South Lake Tahoe, CA Homes that sold was 64 in June 2017 vs. 71 homes sold in June 2016.
– There were 141 new listings entering the market this month. 
– There are 78 South Lake Tahoe, CA homes for sale that are under contract which represents 30% of the overall available inventory of homes 260 homes for sale.
– Average days on the market: 51
– From the 260 homes listed during June, 0 of them was a foreclosure and none of them were short sales.
