South Lake Tahoe Real Estate for Sale and Sold Report, September 2016

The South Lake Tahoe housing market is currently steady. The inventory of homes is lower than last year. As long as interest rates remain the same home prices should continue to increase.

The Numbers Month to Month and Year to Year
– The median sales price for South Lake Tahoe, CA Homes for Sale was $425,000 in September 2016, compared to $335,000 during September 2015.
– The number of South Lake Tahoe, CA Homes that sold was 83 in August 2016 vs. 71 homes sold in August 2015.
– There were 94 new listings entering the market this month.
– There are 34 South Lake Tahoe, CA homes for sale that are under contract which represents 11.56% of the overall available inventory of 294 homes.
– Average days on the market: 90 days.
– From the 294 homes currently on the market, 3 of them are foreclosures.
