The South Lake Tahoe housing market is currently steady. The inventory of homes is very low. As long as interest rates remain the same home prices should continue to slowly increase.

The Numbers Month to Month and Year to Year
– The median sales price for South Lake Tahoe, CA Homes for Sale was $409,500 in May 2016 compared to $454,000 during May 2015.
– The number of South Lake Tahoe, CA Homes that sold was 76 in May 2016 vs. 36 homes sold in May 2015.
– There were 131 new listings entering the market this month.
– There are 73 South Lake Tahoe, CA Homes for Sale that are under contract which represents 31% of the overall available inventory of 237 homes.
– Average days on the market: 88 days.
– From the 237 homes currently on the market, 1 of them is a foreclosure.

The most expensive new listing that entered the market this month was 3717 Regina, selling for $2,900,000.
