Caltrans is doing major construction on U.S. Highway 50 in South Lake Tahoe from Trout Creek Bridge to Ski Run Boulevard to add a storm drainage system to help protect Lake water quality, class II bike lanes, ADA-compliant sidewalks and pedestrian lighting.
Pedestrians, cyclists and motorists must respect the Cone Zone. Do not enter into the construction area for any reason. Entering the Cone Zone is unsafe and can lead to serious injury, interferes with the construction, and can result in a FINE!
