Labor Day weekend is finally here and there are so many options to enjoy your holiday here in South Lake Tahoe on Sunday,September 4th!
Labor Day Fireworks Dinner Cruise on the Tahoe Queen – Labor Day Fireworks Dinner Cruise on the Tahoe Queen departing at 7:30 from Ski Run Marina. For entertainment the Steve Walker band will be performing. The guests will be able to view fireworks at 8:30pm out on the lake and just off to the side from were the fireworks are shot off. The Cruise will not go to Emerald Bay.
Labor Day Fireworks Dinner Cruise on the M.S. Dixie II – Departing at 7:00pm from Zephyr Cove Marina. This is a kid friendly cruise. For entertainment the band Safari will be performing on board the M.S. Dixie II. The guests will be able to view fireworks at 8:30pm out on the lake and just off to the side from where the fireworks are shot off. The Cruise will not go to Emerald Bay.
2011 Labor Day Fireworks Cruise on the Woodwind II at Zephyr Cove – Boarding at 6:30pm. Cruise departs 7:00pm. Returning around 10:00pm. Enjoy a magnificent Tahoe sunset followed by one of the the most elaborate pyrotechnic displays in the western United States. You’ll be in a “front-row” seat just 100 yards from the fireworks barges moored off the south shore! The cruises include complimentary champagne, domestic beer, white wine and hors d’oeuvres. With Lake Tahoe and the magnificent Sierra Nevada mountains as a backdrop there is no better place to witness a fireworks display! Full bar also available on board.

Labor Day Fireworks Dinner & Show at Edgewood-Tahoe – Labor Day Fireworks Dinner & Show. Plan to spend your Labor Day with delicious food, great company, and an unforgettable fireworks show here at Edgewood Tahoe. For $100 (inside dining) or $125 (outside dining) per ticket you will be able to park inside the gates of Edgewood, access to our exceptional buffet, and a privately reserved beach to watch the fireworks show. Tickets for this event will be sold by reserved seating.
Sample the Sierra Festival, a Farm to Fork event celebrating the Sierra Nevada Region – Sample the Sierra at Ski Run Blvd – 2 block event area from Larch to Tamarack. 12-5pm. TahoeChamber.org, LTVA and El Dorado County, cooperative effort to increase awareness of the region’s bounty, heritage, culture and activities through a market-to-table event featuring tastings from the Sierra Nevada’s best chefs and restaurants–all created with local produce, and paired with tastings from local wineries and breweries. A regional marketplace will feature products such as, honey, jams, olive oil and soaps. A juried, original art show will feature pottery, painting, photography and handmade crafts by regional artists and artisans. Live entertainment, including music, storytellers, acoustic musicians, and regional presentations and activities will round out the program. Tastings by Riva Grill, Cafe Fiore, Nepheles, MacDu¬ff’s Public House, Wines by Madrona, Oakstone, Auriga, Lava Cap, Jodar. Live Performances by Late For Dinner and Lavish Green. $5 general admittance and $25 for full tasting ticket.
Labor Day Weekend Fireworks Extravaganza – The Sunday, September 4th Labor Day pyrotechnic exhibition explodes over Lake Tahoe after dusk and features a variety of patterns, lights, designs and shapes. The show features a simultaneous music broadcast that can be heard on local stations KRLT-FM 93.9 and KOWL-AM 1490. Approximately 8:30 PM.
