Got Trash?? If you haven’t done your Spring Cleaning yet this is the perfect opportunity. We’re having a community clean up day this Saturday, June 4th from 8am to 4pm at the South Tahoe Refuse Transfer Station located at 2140 Ruth Ave.
El Dorado County residents who live Lake Tahoe’s south shore can throw away electronics, furniture, mattresses, appliances, tires and other large trash items. Nevada residents can also participate and pay $10 a truckload.
Furniture, tires and appliances can be dropped off at South Tahoe Refuse Transfer Station for a discounted price of $5 per truckload. There will also be free secure document shredding and free e-waste disposal.
Refrigerators can be dropped off for only $15 each (normally $36.80). Computers monitors and TV’s are free (normally $26.35).
“Community Clean up Day plays an important role in preserving our beautiful landscape here at Lake Tahoe,” said Ellen Nunes, program manager, Clean Tahoe Program.
